Rising DJ duo Alterboy (Matteo Mandrelli and Andrea Casicci) kick off 2025 with their infectious new single, “Side To Side,” released as part of the highly anticipated Spotlight EP Vol. 2 on Meduza’s AETERNA Records.
Following the buzz from their last release, “What About Me,” on John Summit’s Expert’s Only, Alterboy are showing no signs of slowing down. “Side To Side” marks a bold step forward in their evolving sound—blending playful electro inspiration with a modern house sensibility, primed for peak-time dance floors.
Since its launch, AETERNA Records has served as a gateway for championing fast-rising talent across the global electronic music scene. The label’s Spotlight EP Vol. 2, out March 28, showcases a curated lineup of club-ready tracks from Simon Doty, DONT BLINK, Rowen Clark, and Alterboy—each delivering cutting-edge house grooves packed with slamming rhythms, sleek production, and infectious energy.
Rounding out the EP, Alterboy’s “Side To Side” features a metallic, robotised vocal commanding the dance floor with irresistible swagger. The track’s hard-hitting drums and playful attitude make it a standout cut. Speaking about the inspiration behind it, Alterboy shared:
“We’d been listening to a bunch of iconic ‘80s tracks and got inspired to make something that had that same kind of vibe—sexy, fun, and super catchy. We wanted it to feel like a modern house track but with little nods to that era, plus some futuristic sounds to give it our own twist. It’s playful, a bit sensual, and definitely made for the dance floor.”
With more releases on the horizon and having had a stacked schedule of performances during Miami Music Week, Alterboy are positioning themselves as a must-watch act in 2025’s electronic music landscape.
