Get ready for a dose of nostalgia infused with fresh energy! Veteran dance music producers and DJs Peran and B.O.B. Ltd. have teamed up once again to deliver their latest track, “Unbelievable,” now available via Armada Music.
“We wanted to create an uplifting track with an old-school sound but also with a powerful, timeless trance break that club DJs can easily play,” explains B.O.B. Ltd.. This vision has come to fruition in “Unbelievable,” a track that promises to ignite dance floors with its retro feel and modern production.
The journey of “Unbelievable” to Armada Music is an interesting one. After sitting on the shelf for some time, the track found its way to the label through an unexpected channel: B.O.B. Ltd.’s niece, @Rozie.dj. Her enthusiastic support and inclusion of the track in her DJ sets brought it to the attention of Armada Music.
This collaboration marks a reunion for Peran and B.O.B. Ltd., who previously released tracks together under the name Acer (“Massive Pad” and “The Mixmaster” on Pegasus Records) and as themselves (“St Tropez Caps – Like a Storm” on Mid-Town Records). Peran is also celebrated for his solo hits like “Goodtimes” and “We Want To Be Free” on Spinnin Records, as well as his collaborations with DJ Jean.
Adding to the excitement, both Peran and B.O.B. Ltd. will be featured in Armada Music’s upcoming documentary focusing on the revival of hardhouse music from the late 90s and early 2000s. With Armada having acquired the Mid-Town catalog, they are keen to highlight this resurgence, featuring interviews with iconic acts like Klubbheads, Club Caviar, B.O.B. Ltd., and The Sax Brothers.
While Peran is currently busy with international DJ gigs, B.O.B. Ltd. is observing the scene’s evolution. Meanwhile, @Rozie.dj continues to champion these classic sounds in her sets, while also receiving strong support from rising stars Benwal and Surf2glory.
Looking ahead, there’s more in store from these artists. Remixes of old hardhouse hits from The Sax Brothers, South East Players, and DJ Kontrol are on the horizon. Additionally, plans are underway for a collaboration between B.O.B. Ltd. and @Rozie.dj, as well as a follow-up track from Peran and B.O.B. Ltd..
